Types of Doctor Visits Offered:
Sick Visits
Whether acute or chronic, if you are being seen for symptoms that are related to an illness or other medical conditions, this would be considered a sick visit. Sore throat, difficulty breathing, hypertension, diabetes, etc., are all reasons patients would be seen for a sick visit.
Wellness Visits
Our physicians are happy to provide annual physical and wellness exams. In most cases, examinations of these types will highlight all parts of the body, even if symptoms aren’t present in a particular area of the body or not. In some instances, this may also involve some general laboratory tests to screen for potential problems, this is to ensure patients are staying on top of their overall health and give them an overview of where they may presently be.
Sick and Physical Visits
Occasionally, a patient will come in for a sick visit but during their visit also ask for or agree if suggested by a physician – to have a general physical or wellness exam. When this occurs, the doctor will mark both a sick visit and a physical on the charge ticket, meaning that both services will be filed with the patient’s insurance.
