SMS Text Messaging Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: October 27, 2026
Practice: Woodlands Diagnostic Clinic, P.A.

1. SMS Program Description

Woodlands Diagnostic Clinic, P.A. (“WDC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) offers an SMS text messaging program to communicate with patients regarding appointment reminders, appointment confirmations, scheduling changes, and related administrative matters.

By opting in, you agree to receive text messages from WDC at the mobile telephone number you provide.

2. Consent to Receive Messages

Consent to receive text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving medical care.

You may opt in through our patient registration process, appointment scheduling process, website, or another approved consent method. Your consent applies to the SMS communications described when you opt in.

Providing your telephone number alone does not constitute consent to receive every type of text message or marketing communication.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your appointments and interactions with our office. You may receive multiple messages related to an upcoming appointment, including reminders, confirmations, or scheduling updates.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier's standard messaging and data charges may apply depending on your mobile plan. WDC is not responsible for charges imposed by your wireless carrier.

5. How to Opt Out

You may stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to a message from WDC.

After we process your request, you will receive no further messages covered by that opt-out, except for a confirmation message or other communications permitted by applicable law.

You may also contact our office directly to request that SMS communications be discontinued.

Opting out of SMS messages does not cancel your medical appointments or affect your eligibility to receive care. You remain responsible for managing your appointments and may need to contact our office directly to confirm, reschedule, or cancel an appointment.

6. Help and Support

For assistance, reply HELP to a message if supported by our messaging service, or contact our office at the telephone number listed on our website.

Our office can assist with questions about appointment reminders, text message preferences, and alternative communication methods.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

WDC respects patient privacy and handles information in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including HIPAA where applicable.

We seek to limit the information included in SMS messages to what is reasonably necessary for the intended communication. Standard SMS text messages may not be encrypted end to end and may be visible on your device or to others who have access to it.

Please review our Privacy Policy for more information about how we collect, use, protect, and disclose personal information.

Mobile telephone numbers and SMS consent information will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with service providers as necessary to deliver our messaging services, subject to applicable privacy and security requirements.

8. Supported Carriers and Delivery

SMS delivery depends on your wireless carrier, network availability, your device, and other factors outside our control. We cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered, received, or read.

Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. Appropriate Use of Text Messages

Our SMS program is intended for appointment-related and routine administrative communications. It is not intended for emergencies or for transmitting urgent medical requests.

Do not use text messaging to request emergency assistance. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911.

Please contact our office directly for clinical questions, medication concerns, or other matters requiring a healthcare professional.

10. Changes to These Terms

WDC may update these Terms & Conditions as our messaging practices or applicable requirements change. Revised terms will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
